The Pacified slums of Rio de Janeiro(slums recently permanently occupied by the police) are being targeted by foreign investors. Safe, affordable and still the privileged view attract anyone building a business in the wonderful city.
It may be a more familiar, or else a unique space. The security around the place once known for violence brought luxury investment opportunity, as a hotel in one of the accesses to the Pavao-Pavãozinho slum in Ipanema.
The hotel opened last year. After a lot of searching, Benjamin and his French partner came to the conclusion that the way to save would be to rent a property close to a pacified favela. The view of the community only helped in the business.
